The first Stimulus Membership Drive, complemented by separate individual nominations, has been successful. Since July 1, 2008, 13 new members have joined, increasing the total Club membership to 137. This is a 10% increase, already achieving in two months the annual goal established by President Arthur Young. The entire Club is to be congratulated for this outstanding achievement. In particular, the club leadership thanks Mickey Sepulveda, chairman of the Stimulus Membership Drive for all of his hard work and planning that have resulted in this growth.
The new members represent community leaders in a wide range of professions, for example, medicine, corporate, business, financial, and religion. The names of the new members are listed below.
President Young and the Board have established a new challenge of 150 Club members by year-end, which means another 13 new members. Plans have started for a second Stimulus Membership Drive. Details of this Drive will be explained to the membership in September.
